I am so excited today to be releasing a weather movement poem! This poem focuses on actions that your young child can do along with the video. I think that poetry and rhythm and rhyme and movement all help young children to learn and to be engaged and that’s why I made this video, with an original poem, written by me.

Weather Weather All Around

Weather weather all around
From the sky to the ground
When I wake up what will I see?
Today what will the weather be
Today the sun is out
Causing all the plants to sprout
Warm and bright
The sun brings light
Weather weather all around
From the sky to the ground
When I wake up what will I see?
Today what will the weather be
Today the wind is blowing
And it is never slowing
Loud and strong
It might blow me along!
Weather weather all around

When I wake up what will I see?
Today what will the weather be
Today the rain falls down
But don’t frown
There are puddles – yay!
The rain gives us new ways to play!

Today the snow drifts down
Covering with white the whole town
Wet and cold, soft and fun
Let’s build a snowman before we’re done!
